Two of New Brunswick’s most celebrated acts share the spotlight for a fun afternoon at The Fredericton Playhouse during Harvest Music Festival.
Josh Bravener & The Hypochondriacs bring their signature blend of country, rockabilly, and rock and roll to the stage with a sound that’s as explosive as it is heartfelt. Known for their dynamic seven-piece lineup, soul-baring lyrics, and Josh Bravener’s magnetic stage presence, the Hypos have toured across North America and earned acclaim for both their studio albums and exhilarating live shows. With a live album released in 2024 and a new studio record on the horizon, they’re hitting the stage with serious momentum—and a few tricks up their sleeve.
Sharing the stage is Kylie Fox, the acclaimed Fredericton songstress whose 2024 album Sequoia garnered an ECMA nomination and national praise. Her set promises rich storytelling, layered harmonies, whimsical flute solos, and moments of hushed intimacy—all led by a voice that effortlessly draws you in. Blending folk, indie, and poetic insight, Fox’s performance is both a personal invitation and a powerful celebration of women, nature, and self-discovery.

Josh Bravener & The Hypochondriacs have captivated audiences everywhere with their electrifying blend of country, rockabilly, and rock and roll. Since forming in 2015, the seven-member band has become renowned for their dynamic live shows. Led by the charismatic Josh Bravener, whose soul-stirring lyrics and powerful stage presence anchor the group's performances, the ‘Hypos’ include Jamie Guitar (bass), Jeannine Gallant (vocals/trombone), Connor Fox (lead guitar), McKayla Daigle (vocals), Joel Miller (sax) and Andrew DeMerchant (drums).
Their touring success across Canada and the U.S. includes memorable appearances alongside notable artists like Lukas Nelson and appearances at major festivals such as SXSW. With accolades like a Music NB ‘Album of the Year’ and several other nominations, the acclaim for Josh Bravener & The Hypochondriacs continued with a nomination for Recording of the Year in 2022.
